Dijon Crab Cake Sauce

Smooth mustard sauce perfect for traditional style crab cakes. Sauteed shallots and garlic are combined with salt, white wine, Dijon mustard, and butter.
Ingredients -
 
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 small Shallot, minced
1 small Garlic Clove, minced
pinch of Kosher Salt
1/2 ounces White Wine
2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
1 tablespoon Butter
 
Preparation:
 

1. In a small saucepan, sauté shallots and garlic in oil until soft.

2. Add wine and reduce for 30 seconds.

3. Add Dijon mustard and kosher salt.

4. Stirring constantly, heat to boiling point.

5. Remove from heat.

6. Add butter and stir slowly to combine.
